Tehran (IP) - Iran's minister of health and medical education announced that COVID vaccination would begin soon in Iran.

Iran PressIran News: Referring to the efforts to make the Iranian coronavirus vaccine, Saeed Namaki stated that vaccine import to the country would begin soon.

He noted that vaccination would begin for sensitive and high-risk groups as the vaccine was imported.

The Head of Execution of Imam Khomeini's Order (EIKO) public relations, Hojjatollah Niki-Maleki, also pointed out that after examining the health of 21 volunteers injected with the Iranian-produced COVID vaccine, the injection permission had been issued to 14 other volunteers.

The first phase of the first Iranian-made COVID vaccine human trial named 'COVO-Iran Barakat' began on volunteers in December.
