FDA Head: Corona vaccine to be provided on time in Iran

Tehran (IP) - Head of Food and Drug Administration of Iran stated that corona vaccine would be provided on time in Iran.

Iran PressIran News: Head of Food and Drug Administration of Iran Mohammad Reza Shanehsaz said on Monday in an online press conference held at the Ministry of Health: "Corona vaccine will be provided on time in Iran. The route of domestic production and foreign purchase of vaccines is also carefully followed. We are not worried about the timely supply of corona vaccine in the country."

Shanehsaz added: "One of the manufacturers of corona vaccine inside the country had reached the human phase and its clinical study began. Other manufacturers are trying to enter the human phase. Our preference is for information about the vaccine to be announced by the Minister of Health. Of course, we do not have a problem with providing foreign currency through the banks, and we hope to see no shortage of corona vaccines and other medical items in Iran."

Head of Food and Drug Administration added: "In the field of medical equipment, at the beginning of Corona outbreak in Iran, we had 150,000 daily productions of masks, but today we have reached 35 million masks per day."

"In the field of ventilators and oxygen devices, we have reached the ability to produce it domestically and we can even export these items," Shanehsaz added.
