Remnants of the ISIS terrorist group attacked five vehicles of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces in the Al-Aith Island, eastern Salah al-Din province.

Iran PressMiddle East: Initial reports suggest that ten members of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces were martyred and more than a dozen others were injured in the terrorist attack.

The terrorists attacked the Al-Samawah Battalion in the Al-Aith Island at 19:30 local time.

As the fighting began, the 22nd Brigade of the Badr Corps sent five vehicles carrying more than 20 auxiliary troops but were ambushed by ISIS Takfiri elements.

As a result of the ambush, 11 militias, including the commander of the 3rd Battalion, were killed and 12 others were wounded.

The fighting is still going on.
