The veteran American journalist, television news anchor, and author who has been a CNN reporter since 1990 says that the streets of the American capital remind him of the war zones in Mosul and Fallujah, Iraq.

Iran Press/America: Wolf Blitzer wrote in a tweet that the US National Guard troops were deployed in most parts of Washington, D.C., and many of the city's streets were closed.

"With five days until JoeBiden becomes President and Donald Trump becomes former President, the nation’s capital is on high alert. The FBI Director Christopher Wray has warned of “potentially armed protests." Blitzer said in another tweet.
