Iran Press/ Iran news: Behrouz Kamalvandi told Iranian state television on Monday evening: "So far, not only have we not stopped producing heavy water, but we have made good progress in its production."
"The development of Iran's nuclear industry is unstoppable," he said. "We must not allow the country's nuclear industry to be harmed."
He added: "We must own a nuclear power plant, produce the fuel needed for our nuclear power plants and produce the radiopharmaceuticals needed by the country."
Kamalvandi said that there is no doubt that we would defeat global arrogance in all areas, especially in the nuclear industry.
"In the nuclear industry, we seek to provide the fuel needed by nuclear power plants so that if they do not give it to us for 2 years, we can at least be self-sufficient," he reiterated.
Referring to the achievements of the Iranian nuclear deal 2015, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), he added: "It is true that we had 8 or 10-year restrictions under the agreement, but eventually these restrictions will be removed over time and in our tenth year, we will not have any restrictions."
"With the implementation of the JCPOA, Iran was supposed to become a member of major global agreements on nuclear energy, but despite the US withdrawal from the JCPOA, Iran has so far been able to pursue the issue thoughtfully."
Kamalvandi said: "By signing the JCPOA, even some countries in the world were looking to invest in the production of nuclear power plant fuel in Iran, but the Americans did not allow it to be implemented."
"In order to have a nuclear industry, we have to solve its problems one by one. We must be able to defend the national interests of the country with dignity and authority and not allow the UNSC resolutions to be passed against us," he added.
He concluded, "The JCPOA was our first major experience in the world, and as a diplomat, I declare that with this deal, we were able to solve many problems."
