Tehran (IP) - The spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health announced on Monday that in the past 24 hours 91 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives.

Iran PressIran news: The Spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health Sima Sadat Lari announced on Monday that 1,292,614 people in the country had been infected with the coronavirus, and 1,081,736 of them, recovered.

According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to January 11, 2021, 6,208 newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 recognized out of whom 642 patients were hospitalized, Sima Sadat Lari stated.

She noted that in the past 24 hours, 91 COVID-19 patients had lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 56,262.

4,568 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition, according to the spokeswoman.

So far, 8,207, 975 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country, the Health Ministry spokeswoman pointed out.

"Based on the latest statistics, the cities of Sari, Amol, Fereydounkenar, Qaemshahr, and Neka in Mazandaran Province, and Bandar Gaz and Kordkuy in Golestan Province, northern Iran, are regarded as red zones, 30 cities as orange zones, 219 cities as yellow zones and 192 cities as blue zones," Lari said.
