Tehran (IP) - Iranian Health Minister said that no case of the UK's new mutated coronavirus found in Iran and the latest status of the virus in Iran has been under heavy monitoring by medical experts.

Iran Press/Iran News: Attending a press conference on Wednesday at the health ministry, Saeed Namaki said that all medical universities were carefully watching the virus's latest status in Iran.

He went on to say that three people who came from England were isolated, and all of them tested negative.

It is possible to face a newly mutated virus at any time, so the best prevention method is observing health protocols. Simultaneously, whenever the number of infections or death toll decreases, people neglect the fact.

Referring to the latest results of martyr Soleimani's plan for fighting Coronavirus, the minister stated that it was seen that whenever observing health protocols increased, the death and infection statistics decreased like Qom and Yazd provinces. In contrast, in Mazandaran, it had not decreased yet due to people's negligence.

In martyr Soleimani's plan 560,000 people were active in searching teams, 36,000 people in caring teams,11,000 people in supervision teams, and 25,000 in supporting teams, the minister concluded.

The first phase of the human trials of the coronavirus vaccine developed by Iranian researchers began on Tuesday, December 29.

It is expected that with the start of the human trial phase, Iran will be one of the leading producers of vaccines in the region and will meet the needs of the country early next Iranian year (beginning on March 21).
