Turkey was shaken near Sivrice, Elazığ, by an earthquake of magnitude 5.3, minutes ago, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.

Iran PressAsia: The quake hit at a very shallow depth of 5 km beneath the epicenter near Sivrice, Elazığ, Turkey, in the morning on Sunday 27 December 2020 at 9:37 am local time.

Shallow earthquakes are felt more strongly than deeper ones as they are closer to the surface.
