Hossein Darvishi, Consul General of Iran in Guangzhou, referring to the volume of $ 4.5 billion in trade relations between Iran and Guangdong Province, China, called for increased economic and trade cooperation between the two sides, given the great potential of Iran and Guangdong Province.

Iran Press/Asia: In a meeting with Feng Li Shu, Chairman of the Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) of Guangdong Province on Friday, Hossein Darvishi said, the Iranian Consulate General is ready to hold face-to-face meetings between businessmen and economic activists of the two sides, to establish cooperation with public and private institutions in the field of trade cooperation.

 At the meeting, which was held to discuss the promotion of economic and trade cooperation and encourage Chinese companies to invest in various sectors, the Iranian Consul General in Shanghai also noted the geographical location, high availability and diverse transportation, the appropriate industrial infrastructure, technology, and skilled manpower, have made Iran an appropriate base for the Chinese companies to product and export to countries in the region, including the Middle East, West Asia, Central Asia, and even Europe.

The Chairman of the International Trade Promotion Council (CCPIT) of Guangdong also expressed readiness to encourage companies in the province to participate and invest in various sectors, including medicine, home appliances, and electronic products, given the importance of Iran in the region. 219
