Why it matters:
The U.S. military adventurism seems to be igniting a world war as it hit the Venezuelan boat following other warmongering actions elsewhere, including against Iran.
The big picture:
The United States has deployed eight warships carrying 1,200 missiles and a nuclear submarine near the coasts of this country on September 1st.
Today, September 3rd, the United States targeted a Venezuelan boat in the Caribbean Sea in the first military action against Venezuela during the recent week's rhetoric against Venezuela.
What we're hearing:
The U.S. claims that the boat that was hit belonged to a drug trafficking group that was trying to enter the United States.
Maduro denies Washington’s claim as a “fabricated story” and emphasized that Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, along with the Miami mafia, forged documents by AI to attribute it to Venezuela, “to stain Trump’s hands with the blood of Venezuelans.”
He also noted that these actions are part of the United States’ efforts to destroy the legacy of Simon Bolivar.
What he's saying:
The President of Venezuela described these movements as “the greatest threat of the contemporary century in the American continent” and said that in case of any aggression, Venezuela will give a tough response to the U.S..
