Yemen’s Armed Forces announced a dual ballistic missile operation targeting sensitive sites in the occupied city of Tel Aviv, using Palestine-2 and Zulfiqar missiles—one of which carried multiple warheads. The strike reportedly triggered mass evacuations and disrupted airport operations.

Why it matters:

The operation is a significant action by Yemen’s military against Israel, which is a direct response to the war and genocide in Gaza .

The big picture:

The operation was carried out in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza and as part of a broader retaliation strategy. The strike reportedly led to the shutdown of Ben Gurion Airport and widespread panic, with thousands seeking shelter. The attack follows a series of drone and cruise missile attacks launched by Yemen earlier this week, signaling what officials in Sana’a describe as a “new military strategy with no red lines.”

What he's saying:

Yahya Saree stated:

“This dual missile operation successfully hit its targets in Tel Aviv. It is a victory in support of the Palestinian people and a response to aggression against our country.”

He added: “The criminal enemy has committed horrific crimes against two million Muslims in Gaza, while two billion Muslims remain silent.”

In a separate statement, Saree warned: “The Zionist enemy will not enjoy security or stability. Our operations will intensify in the coming phase.”
