Why it matters:
Since the onset of Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza, the Yemeni forces have carried out scores of operations in support of the war-hit Gazans, striking targets throughout the occupied Palestinian territories, in addition to targeting Israeli ships or vessels heading towards ports in the occupied territories.
The big picture:
The Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree said four drones struck multiple sites inside the occupied territories, including the General Staff building in Tel Aviv (Yaffa), a power station, Lod Airport, and the port of Ashdod.
Saree added that Ansarullah forces also launched a joint drone and missile strike against the MSC Aby vessel in the northern Red Sea, which he described as violating the group’s declared ban on ships linked to Israel.
What they’re saying:
Yahya Saree:
“In triumph for the oppressed Palestinian people … our UAV force carried out four military operations using four drones … successfully hitting their targets.”
“The missile and UAV forces also carried out a joint military operation targeting the ship MSC Aby … and the ship was directly hit.”
“We will continue to support our oppressed brothers in Gaza until the aggression stops and the siege is lifted.”
