Tehran (IP) - The second deputy chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly announced the preliminary results of the Venezuelan National Assembly elections on Monday.

Iran Press/Iran news: The second deputy chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Shahriar Heidari quoting Indira Alfonzo, chairman of the Venezuelan Electoral Council, announced the preliminary results of the Venezuelan National Assembly elections as follows:

Venezuela's ruling party has won 67.6 percent of the vote.

So far, 82.34 percent of the votes have been counted.

Opposition parties won 23.4% of the vote. The total public contribution turnout in this election was 31%.

Former Bolivian presidents of Ecuador and Honduras were present at the announcement of the election results, and representatives of various countries, including Iran, Russia, Turkey, Ecuador, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina and other countries in the Asian- African-European region, attended the ceremony.
