Iran Press/ Iran News: Iran's President Hassan Rouhani made the remarks at the inauguration of national projects of the Ministry of Energy in Sistan and Baluchestan, Khorasan Razavi and Khuzestan provinces via videoconferencing.
Rouhani said: "Today, the conditions of controlling the coronavirus are not worse than in developed and western countries, and it is even better compared to some countries. With good planning in the past two weeks, we were able to control the disease to some extent."
Citing an example from Khorasan Razavi Province, he continued: "This province was one of our very bad provinces in the past few weeks. Today, according to statistics, its conditions are gradually returning to normal."
Addressing all the people and officials of the country in all three branches of power and the armed forces, the President said: "Let us all join hands and seek to create hope and stability."
Rouhani added: "Let those who have twenty years of experience in this field and know what to do and have succeeded in diplomacy and defeated the United States repeatedly in these three years in the United Nations do their work with patience, reflection, wisdom and accuracy."
The president said: "Our people are present on the [political] stage and the resistance of the people is the basic principle. If the government and the system win, it is in the shadow of resistance. The leadership of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the resistance of the people are the two basic foundations for our success in all difficult days, and today the path of our resistance and under the auspice of the leadership will be the path of our victory."
Rouhani also inaugurated 25 national plans and projects of the Ministry of Energy.
These projects are on the agenda with the aim of providing sustainable energy, especially in summer, and eliminating voltage drops, especially in the industrial sector, as well as strengthening the necessary infrastructure to expand electricity exports to neighboring countries.
Today, the number one steam unit of Ferdowsi Combined Cycle Power Plant with a capacity of 160 MW was put into operation in Khorasan Razavi Province. By utilizing this project, energy production capacity and network stability in the northeastern provinces of Iran will be improved.
