Tehran (IP) - The commander of the Navy of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), emphasized that Iran's peace and friendship strategy is accompanied by public security.

Iran Press/Iran news: Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, commander of the IRGC Navy at the ceremony of the Martyr Rudaki oceangoing warship' joining to the IRGC Navy, emphasized that Iran's strategy is peace and friendship with public security and said: "Security cannot be bought and will only be achieved in the shadow of peace and mutual respect to each other's interests."

The commander of the IRGC Navy mentioned Martyr Rudaki oceangoing warship as a vessel equipped with all kinds of weapons and added that this heavy vessel is a messenger of peace, friendship, brotherhood, and security.

Emphasizing that defending Islam is not limited to borders, Admiral Tangsiri said: "Law of the sea allows the navy to be present 12 miles from any country."

The commander of IRGC Navy also stated that maritime sovereignty is Iran's right today, adding: "Presence offshore and in the Indian Ocean is our right, and its realization means maritime sovereignty."
