Tehran (IP) - The commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Defense Force expressed readiness to receive students from Iraq and cooperate to military knowledge at the Khatam Al-Anbia (PBUH) Air Defense Academy.

Iran PressIran news: The Commander of Iraq's Air Defense Force Major General Zaid Ibrahim Alwan met with the Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Defense Force Brigadier General Alireza Sabahifard on Tuesday morning.

Emphasizing the interaction between the two countries in providing air security in the region, the commander of Iran's Air Defense Force announced: "With the defense capacity in Iran, we can admit Iraqi students at Khatam Al-Anbia (PBUH) Air Defense Academy."

Sabahifard stated that with the two countries’ cooperation, the region's sky’s security would be well provided.

The commander of Iran's Air Defense Force also announced Iran's readiness to equip and strengthen Iraq's air defense systems and noted that Iran could have an integrated air defense network with Iraq and help maintain Iraq's radar network.

The commander of Iraq's Air Defense Force also welcomed the cooperation and military interactions between the two countries in providing air security and called for increasing technical, intelligence, and operational collaboration to ensure the safety of the two countries' airspace.

On Saturday, a high-ranking military delegation from Iraq arrived in Tehran to hold talks with Iranian officials to expand defense and military ties.
