The Qazvin City Council and Municipality basketball team won its first game within the framework of the Iranian Basketball Super League (IBSL) against Avijeh Sanat Mashhad.

Iran Press/Iran news: In this game, which was held in Tehran, the team of Qazvin City Council and Municipality won 76 to 73.

The return match will be held tomorrow evening, Sunday, in the Basketball hall of Azadi Sports Complex in Tehran.

Mohammad Reza Eslami, the head coach of the Qazvin Municipality basketball team, said in an exclusive interview with Iran Press: "After preparing our players and coordinating the team's foreign players, we will achieve better results in future."

The head coach added: Holding competitions in an intensive condition by observing health protocols can help promote and develop Iranian basketball players.

Ivanovich, the head coach of Avijeh Sanat Mashhad, also said in an exclusive interview with Iran Press: "The mistakes made by my team caused us to lose the game."

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the IBSL competitions are held in an intensive condition with 16 teams in compliance with health protocols.

Today, the two teams of Exxon Tehran and Raad Air Defense of Mashhad were supposed to play in their first game, but it was canceled due to the infection of 6 players of the Exxon team to coronavirus.
