The explosion of a gas pipeline in al-Muthanna province on Saturday, south of Iraq, left two people killed and 26 others injured.

Iran Press/Middle East: According to witnesses, the blast took place in the Mesaieede area on the international highway in al-Muthanna province, near the headquarters of al-Hashd al-Shabi (PMU) forces.

An informed security source told Baghdad Al-Youm that the blast killed two people and wounded 26 others, including 11 PMU forces.

Al-Muthanna Province is the second-largest city in Iraq, with Al-Samawa city as its capital.
