Tehran (IP) - The Spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari, announced on Saturday that 612,772 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, and 481,930 of the total infected have recovered.

Iran PressIran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to October 31, 2020, newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 reached 7,820 cases out of whom 2,417 patients were hospitalized, Lari stated.

She added that in the past 24 hours, 386 COVID-19 patients had lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 34,864.

5,185 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition, said Lari.

So far, 4,929,005 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country, the health ministry spokeswoman noted.

She pointed out that the provinces of Tehran, Isfahan, Qom, East Azerbaijan, South Khorasan, Semnan, Qazvin, Lorestan, Ardabil, Khuzestan, Kermanshah, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Gilan, Bushehr, Zanjan, Ilam, Khorasan Razavi, Mazandaran, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Alborz, West Azerbaijan, Markazi, Kerman, North Khorasan, Hamadan, Yazd, and Kurdistan are regarded as red zones.

Hormozgan, Fars, Golestan, and Sistan and Baluchestan provinces are also regarded as orange and yellow zones.
