Tehran (IP) - The head of Iran's judiciary described boycotting essential commodities for Iranians and Syrians as a crime against humanity.

Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking on Wednesday at a meeting with Adnan Mahmoud, ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to Iran at the end of his mission, the Head of Iran's Judiciary Sayyed Ebrahim Raisi referred to the very severe economic and psychological war waged by the enemy against the Syrian people, saying that the cruel enemy has even boycotted essential goods, which is a crime against humanity.

“In the past, negotiating tables and liberation organizations were making decisions for the region, but today, people feel that the initiative is in the hands of the resistance front,” he added.

The head of Iran's judiciary said: "What made Syria last and made its people proud in the region and the world is the resistance of the Syrian government and people against Israel and takfiri terrorists.”

The head of the judiciary also noted that the US’ economic war has not been able to stop Iran from continuing its way, nor has it succeeded in stopping the Syrian government and people.

Adnan Mahmoud also said: "The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, the government and the people of Iran have played an important role in supporting the Syrian government and people in the fight against Takfiri terrorism and thwarting the plans of imperialism in the region."

He added: "Our enemies are now focusing their efforts on economic warfare, which is a crime against all of humanity and to thwart this war and achieve our common goals, we must further strengthen our relationship.”

The Syrian ambassador in Tehran stressed that Iran has always been a model for the Syrian people, saying that the two countries will definitely fail the enemy in achieving their hegemonic goals in the region.
