The deputy head of Russia's National Security Council called the US and some of its allies sanctions against Iran, Venezuela and Cuba in the midst of the Coronavirus crisis shameless.

Iran PressEurope: Dmitry Medvedev on Friday criticized the sanctioning approach of the United States and its allies, saying that sanctions prevent the fight against the Coronavirus.

Medvedev noted that a number of countries, including Iran, Cuba and Venezuela, have so far been unable to obtain the necessary medicine and equipment to fight the Coronavirus due to illegal, inhuman sanctions imposed by the US.

Unilateral and oppressive sanctions by Washington and its allies, which include basic items and even medicine and medical equipment, have created many problems for the people of the US-sanctioned countries, especially the coronavirus infected patients.

The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Javad Zarif, recently criticized US hostile policies in the midst of the Coronavirus outbreak, saying that the world could no longer remain silent in the face of US economic terrorism linked to medical terrorism.
