In a tweet answering the Azerbaijani president, Iran's ambassador to Baku said that 760-km shared border of Iran and Azerbaijan will ever remain the border of friendship, peace and security for the two neighbors' people.

Iran Press/ Asia: "The state border between Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran has been completely secured through the liberation of the Agbend settlement. I congratulate the peoples of Azerbaijan and Iran on this occasion. Long live Azerbaijan’s glorious Army!" President Ilham Aliyev tweeted on his page.

"Mr. President; The 760-km shared border of Iran and Azerbaijan will ever remain the border of friendship, peace and security for the two neighbors' people without the presence and interference of ill-wishers," Iran's ambassador to Baku Seyyed Abbas Mousavi tweeted in return.

"Iranians are happy with the happiness of their Muslim brothers and sisters of Azerbaijan," the ambassador noted.

Earlier, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Azerbaijan condemned the missile attack on the city of Ganja and the killing and wounding of a number of civilians.
