The joint air defense exercise, codenamed 'Modafe’an-e Aseman-e Velayat 99', kicked off on Wednesday.
The drill, involving air defense units from the Army and the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), aims to boost combat readiness and consolidate the armed forces’ air defense capabilities in simulated real-war conditions.
'Modafe’an-e Aseman-e Velayat 99' exercises include various types of homegrown missile systems, radars, electronic warfare equipment, and communication systems countering aerial threats in low, medium and high altitudes.
