Iran Press/Europe: Russian President in a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had expressed concern about the involvement of militants in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The Russian President and the Turkish president also discussed developments in Syria and Libya over the phone.

A new round of military clashes between Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan began on Sunday (September 27th), and despite the ceasefire agreement reached between the two countries at the Moscow summit, clashes and tensions in the Nagorno-Karabakh region continue.

The search for a long-term solution to the conflict, one of the most enduring problems left after the fall of the Soviet Union, is in the hands of the Minsk Group of regional powers chaired by France, Russia, and the US.
