Over 406k Iranians recover from COVID-19: Health Ministry spox

Tehran (IP)- The Spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health Sima Sadat Lari said in her presser on Sunday that so far, 500,075 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, and 406,389 of the total infected people have recovered.

Iran PressIran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to October 11, 2020, 3,822 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed, out of whom 1,724 of patients were hospitalized, according to Lari.

She added that in the past 24 hours, 251 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 28,544.

4,482 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition.

"So far, 4,312,514 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted," the health ministry spokeswoman noted.

She pointed out that Provinces of Tehran, Isfahan, Qom, East Azarbaijan, South Khorasan, Semnan, Qazvin, Lorestan, Ardabil, Khuzestan, Kermanshah, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Gilan, Bushehr, Zanjan, Ilam, Khorasan Razavi, Mazandaran, Chaharmahal, and Bakhtiari, Alborz, West Azarbaijan, Markazi, Kerman, North Khorasan, Hamadan, and Yazd are regarded as red zones.

According to the Health Ministry Spokeswoman, provinces of Kordestan, Hormozgan, Fars, and Golestan are on alert.
