Over 27K Iranian patient died over COVID-19: Health Ministry Spox

Tehran (IP) - The Spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari said on Monday that in the past 24 hours, 235 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 27,192.

Iran PressIran News: The Spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari, said on Monday that so far, 475,674 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, and 392,293 of the total infected people have recovered.

According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to October 5, 2020, 3,902 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed, out of whom 1,953 of patients were hospitalized, said Lari.

She added that in the past 24 hours, 235 COVID-19 patients had lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 27,192.

4,167 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition.

"So far, 4,151,445 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted," the health ministry spokeswoman noted.
