Tehran (IP) - Iran's Guardian Council Spokesman Abbas-Ali Kadkhodaei stated that the registration of women in the presidential election is permitted.

Iran Press/Iran news: Kadkhodaei during a press conference on Saturday referred to the registration of women in the next presidential election, saying: "Registration is permitted for women and other issues should be resolved gradually. We have never rejected a candidate because she is a woman."

He answered a question about rumors that the Guardian Council has entered into a 25-year agreement between Iran and China, saying: "We did not do that since we only know as much as you know about the plan and subject of the agreement, and we will not do that until a bill is sent from the parliament."
