Iran Press/Iran news: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to October 7, 2020, 4,019 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed, out of whom 1,820 of patients were hospitalized, Lari added.
She said that in the past 24 hours, 239 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 27,658.
4,274 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition, added Lari.
"So far, 4,207,631 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted," the health ministry spokeswoman noted.
She pointed out: "Provinces of Tehran, Isfahan, Qom, East Azerbaijan, South Khorasan, Semnan, Qazvin, Lorestan, Ardabil, Khuzestan, Kermanshah, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Gilan, Bushehr, Zanjan, Ilam, Khorasan Razavi, Mazandaran, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Alborz, West Azerbaijan, Markazi, Kerman, North Khorasan, Hamadan, and Yazd are regarded as red zones."
According to the health ministry spokeswoman, provinces of Kordestan, Hormozgan, Fars, and Golestan are on alert.
