Islamic Republic of Iran and Kazakhstan will hold the Farabi International Webinar on October 19 with the participation of professors and dignitaries from around the world.

Iran Press/Iran News: According to the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO, Hojatollah Ayoubi, Secretary-General of the Commission, and the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Iran Askhat Orazbay co-chaired the first coordination meeting for the Farabi International Webinar.

The Kazakh ambassador said at the meeting that cultural relations between Iran and Kazakhstan should be more active within the framework of UNESCO.

Referring to the plans for holding the Farabi International Webinar, he said: "This year, we will celebrate 1105 years of Farabi's birthday. Farabi belongs to everyone, and this scientist was born in a city called Farab in Kazakhstan. We consider Farabi to belong to the Islamic Republic of Iran and Kazakhstan, and this great scientist is important to both countries."

Kazakhstan's ambassador to Iran added that due to the coronavirus pandemic, the two countries decided to hold the conference on October 19 in the form of a webinar.

According to him, guests from Azerbaijan, Canada, Egypt, Finland, the United Kingdom, Greece, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, the Netherlands, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Iran have been invited to attend the international webinar.

Some of Farabi scholars, philosophers, or orientalists who are familiar with Farabi's works will give a speech at this webinar.

Welcoming the Farabi International Webinar, Hojjatullah Ayoubi said: "Farabi united the two nations and we are happy with your gratitude to the great personalities."

Referring to the presence of Dr. Gholami, Minister of Science, Research, and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the webinar, Ayoubi announced the readiness of prominent Iranian scholars to participate at the international webinar.
