Islamabad (IP)- On the occasion of the martyrdom of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his companions, a lot of Pakistani prominent personalities have expressed their grief and sorrow.

Iran PressAsia: Grand Imam of Badshahi Mosque in Lahore and Chairman Central Ruet-E-Hilal Committee Pakistan, Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad said that losing Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is a great loss for the whole Muslim Ummah.

While talking to Iran Press, Maulana Abdul Khanir Azad said, "I think that this is a great tragedy, today not only the world of Islam but also people belonging to other religions are sad because the Honorable Seyed Ebrahim Raisi was a great leader of the world of Islam. A great leader has been separated from us in this great tragedy. We pray to Allah Almighty to bless all these deceased and raise their ranks."

He further added, "When Honorable Ebrahim Raisi came to Pakistan, the entire Pakistani nation expressed happiness because Iran is our brotherly country and we always move forward together. When he came to Lahore, we welcomed him at the shrine of Iqbal Lahori, the conversation he gave at this shrine was a message for the entire Pakistani nation. I pray that Allah almighty raises his ranks, leaders like him are born in centuries, and may Allah bring someone like him to us. We share the grief of his family and the Iranian people, at this painful moment." 219
