Iran Press/ Iran news: The Head of AEOI Mohammad Eslami told Iran Press on Wednesday that the reports the head of IAEA Rafael Grossi provides to the Board of Governors and the UN Security Council have two parts, one deals with the JCPOA and the other part with safeguards and the NPT.
Iran's international nuclear agreement or the so-called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was signed between the country and P5+1 countries (Russia, China, UK, Germany, France, and the US) in 2015, to lift the West's sanctions on Iran, but the US scrapped it on May 18, 2018, re-imposing more sanctions on Iran.
"About the safeguard and NPT, our relations are going on, the IAEA's cameras are installed and have constant surveillance, and their information about our activities is up to date; In addition, the inspectors of the agency are also stationed [in the nuclear sites]," he told Iran Press.
About the part dealing with the JCPOA, Eslami said that the AEOI is committed to the strategic law adopted by the parliament to lift the West's sanctions on Iran because the Western parties of the international deal did not fulfill their commitments to it.
The reports the IAEA gives to the BOG and the UN Security Council every three-month and six-month deal with compliance or non-compliance with the JCPOA, he added.
The head of AEOI said that currently, about 120 inspectors of the IAEA, who are either stationed in Iran or are on the move, visit Iran's nuclear facilities regularly or randomly, based on prior agreement. 204
