Tehran (IP)- UN chief ‘s special envoy for Syria Geir Pederson on Tuesday held talks with senior advisor to Iranian foreign minister Ali Asghar Khaji.

Iran Press/Iran news: The two sides discussed the latest developments in Syria including the necessity of finding new ways of improving the humanitarian situation in Syria, fighting terrorism, and continuing the political process in the country.

Khaji for his part voiced concern over the humanitarian crisis in Syria.

He said that the crimes of the Zionist regime against the oppressed people of Palestine as well as the continuous aggression of this regime against Syria and Lebanon have plunged all regional equations into crisis and damaged the progress of developments in Syria.
