Iran, Russia to boost technological cooperation

Tehran (IP) - The Vice President for Science and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran Sorena Sattari and the President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Sergeev emphasized the expansion of technological cooperation.

Iran Press/Iran news: In a virtual talk with Sergeev, Sattari expressed that the two countries have extensive and deep relations in the field of diplomacy, and it is necessary to achieve this depth and development in the field of science and technology.
He stated that the ground for the development of joint scientific and technological cooperation, especially in the field of advanced pharmaceutical technologies, is well provided with Russia.
Referring to the ability of Iranian knowledge-based companies and research institutes in the field of drug and vaccine production, Sattari noted: "Considering the outbreak of COVID-19, Tehran is ready to cooperate with Moscow in important and significant projects to deal with the pandemic."
The president of the Russian Academy of Sciences expressed that Russian scientific institutes are ready for scientific cooperation with Iran.
He noted that Iran and Russia can cooperate in various fields, including biotechnology, minerals, and ecology of the Caspian Sea, as well as medicine, infectious diseases, and other technological fields.
Iran's ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali also stated that Iran's embassy in Moscow is ready to cooperate with Russian scientific and technological institutes.
The official announced that Iran has good potential in the field of medicine and can serve as a regional center for the development of pharmaceutical and vaccine technologies. 101/221
