Iranian Ambassador to Baku, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi, and Azeri Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Joint Economic Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Iran Şahin Mustafayev met on Thursday to discuss economic relations and cooperation between the two countries.

Iran Press/Asia: In the meeting, the latest developments in bilateral relations, especially in the field of economy, trade, joint projects, and ways to expand relations and cooperation between the two friendly and neighboring countries were discussed.

The first round of talks was held on Tuesday on the text of the preferential trade agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan via video conference.

The talks were attended by representatives of the Trade Promotion Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran and various departments of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and representatives of the Foreign Ministers of the two countries.

The two sides agreed on the proposed text of Iran and some considerations of the Azeri side.
