ISIS killed 3 in Kirkuk, Iraq

3 people were killed in the attack by ISIS near the town of Bashir in Kirkuk, Iraq.

Iran PressMiddle East: Kirkuk Police Director Ali Kemal said that a terrorist attack was carried out against the village of Asi near the town of Beşir, Anadolu Agency (AA) reported.

Stating that ISIS carried out the attack, Kemal noted that three people belonging to the Hashdi Shabi force were killed.

Kemal, who informed that ISIS members wanted to capture the Asi village in the attack, stated that the security forces only repulsed them.

In June 2014, ISIS seized all of Mosul, Salahaddin, and Enbar provinces, as well as parts of Diyala and Kirkuk provinces, and these regions were taken back from the organization over the years. Former Iraqi Prime Minister Haydar al-Ibadi announced victory over the organization on 9 December 2017.
