Iran Press/ Middle East: The senior leaders of Hamas and Islamic Jihad met for the second time in two weeks in Beirut.
The Islamic Jihad Movement said that Ziyad al-Nakhalah, the movement's secretary-general, hosted a delegation of senior Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement officials headed by Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh in the presence of other senior officials.
According to a statement from the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, the meeting focused on developments in Palestine and the dangers surrounding it.
The meeting stressed the importance of Palestinian unity, the completion of national reconciliation, the practical success of the decisions made by the General Secretariat of Palestinian Groups earlier this month, and the need to intensify resistance against the occupying Israeli regime.
In this meeting, ways to strengthen cooperation between the stances and steps of the two movements, Hamas and Islamic Jihad, were also discussed.
This meeting was held as earlier, the UAE and Bahrain signed a normalization agreement in the presence of US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday night after announcing a compromise agreement with the occupying regime in al-Quds.
