Tehran (IP) - The Spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health Sima Sadat Lari said on Wednesday that 410,334 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, and 352,019 of the total infected people have recovered.

Iran Press/Iran news: According to the definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to September 16, 2020, 2,981 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed, out of whom 1,726 of patients were hospitalized, Lari said in his daily briefing.

The spokeswoman said that in the past 24 hours, 179 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 23,632.

3,827 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition.

"So far, around 3,641,581 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," the health ministry spokeswoman noted.

According to the spokeswoman, the provinces of Tehran, Mazandaran, Gilan, Qom, Isfahan, Khorasan Razavi, East Azerbaijan, Kerman, North Khorasan, Semnan, Yazd, Zanjan, and Qazvin are regarded as red zones.
