Iran Press/ Middle East: A security source said that Katyusha rockets fell on the Green Zone in the center of Baghdad, near the US embassy.
In an interview with Iraqi media, the source said that Katyusha rockets landed a short while ago in the vicinity of the US military base near the US embassy.
No news is reported yet whether there were causalities in the attack.
The US embassy in Baghdad and US bases in Iraq, including al-Taji and al-Balad bases, have been targeted by rockets several times in recent months.
Many Iraqi people and groups call for the withdrawal of American forces from Iraq, and the Iraqi parliament has approved a plan for the withdrawal of these forces.
