Palestinian ambassador leaves Abu Dhabi

"The Palestinian ambassador to Abu Dhabi has left the UAE for good as a sign of protest to the UAE's agreement with the Zionist regime to normalize relations," Jibril al-Rajoub, secretary-general of the Central Committee of the Palestine Fatah Movement, said Saturday night.

Iran Press/Middle East: Earlier, the Palestinian Authority had summoned the Palestinian ambassador to Abu Dhabi in response to an agreement to normalize relations between the UAE and the Zionist regime.

US President Donald Trump on Thursday announced an agreement between the UAE and the Zionist regime to fully normalize relations.

The agreement has been widely criticized.

Fawzi Barhoum, a spokesman for the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, described the announcement of the "dangerous" deal on Thursday night as a "free reward" given by the UAE to the Israeli regime for its crimes against the Palestinians.

Condemning the establishment of diplomatic relations between the UAE and the Zionist regime, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran stated that the oppressed people of Palestine and all free nations of the world will never normalize relations with the occupier and criminal regime of Israel and will never forgive complicity with its crimes.

In recent months, the process of normalization of relations between some Arab regimes in the region, especially the Saudi and UAE regimes, has intensified with Israel.

The Arab regimes are trying to normalize relations with Israel, while the Zionist regime has been occupying many Arab-Islamic areas for years in addition to suppressing the Palestinians.
