The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf

Tehran (IP) - The speaker of Iran's parliament called the UAE agreement with the Zionist regime a humiliating compromise and a betrayal of the values of the Islamic Ummah and the Palestinian cause.

Iran PressIran News: The Speaker of Iran's Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf tweeted on Friday in response to the UAE's agreement with the Zionist regime, stating: "The humiliating compromise of the UAE rulers with the criminal Zionist regime is a betrayal of human values, the Islamic Ummah and the Palestinian cause."

Ghalibaf added: "We warn the current traitors and those who intend to join this project that the fight against the Zionist regime will continue with strength."

In this regard, Mahmoud Vaezi, chief of Iran's presidential staff, also tweeted: "How can the UAE respond to the consequences of its treacherous, divisive and strategic mistake against the Palestinian cause, the Arabs, and most importantly, the Islamic world?"

Vaezi added that the repetition of the failed and disgraceful experience of the agreement with Israel is a disgrace that history will not forget.

Following US President Donald Trump's relentless efforts to facilitate the normalization of relations between the UAE and the Zionist regime, the two sides agreed on Thursday to fully normalize diplomatic ties.
