Iran Press/Middle East: Abbas Zaki, one of the leaders of the Palestinian al-Fath movement said the UAE's compromise with Israel is a betrayal to the Arab world.
"The UAE agreement with Israel is to shirk its national, religious, and human responsibility for the Palestinian issue. I hope the Palestinian authorities make courageous decisions," he added.
A member of Palestine's Liberation Organization (PLO) Bassam al-Salehi described the UAE-Israeli deal as a dagger pushed into the Palestinian's back, noting that no one is deceived by the demagogic claim of stopping the annexation plan.
Still, the Archbishop of the Palestinian Orthodox Church Ata al-Hanna also condemned the normalization of relations between the UAE and Israel and said it is a lie to say that the plan to normalize relations will stop the occupation of Palestinian lands.
"In this situation, the continuation of divisions among Palestinian groups is a disgrace and an agreement must be reached among the Palestinian groups," the archbishop stressed.
Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine announced that the signing of a peace agreement between the United Arab Emirates and Israel is a new betrayal and conspiracy.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas called for an urgent meeting of Palestinian leaders to review the agreement between the UAE and the Israeli regime.
The Saudi and Emirati leaders have made great efforts in recent years to maintain ties with the Israeli regime, but the process has accelerated with the US Donald Trump's taking office as president in 2015.
Riyadh and Abu Dhabi are seeking to have ties with the Israeli regime before the US President Donald Trump's term ends because Trump himself is behind the issue and it is not clear whether he will be re-elected as the president of the United States or not.
