The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health on Saturday referred to the latest data on the coronavirus and the deaths caused by the virus, saying: "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to August 9, 2,020 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed."
"Also, the number of patients with this disease reached 326, 712. 961 of the new patients were hospitalized," she added.
The Spokeswoman said, "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 163 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 18,427 people have lost their lives in the country to date."
