Tehran (IP) - The spokeswoman for the Iranian Ministry of Health said that so far, more than 282,122 patients have recovered in the country.

Iran PressIran News: Sima Sadat Lari on Saturday on the latest data on the COVID-19 and the deaths caused by the virus said: "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to August 8 in the country, 2,125 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed."

"Also, the number of patients with the disease reached 324,692. Among the new patients, 1,049 people were hospitalized," Lari stated.

The Spokeswoman said: "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 132 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 18,264 people have died in the country to date."

The official stated: "4,148 patients are in intensive care units and 2,661,965 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country."

According to the spokeswoman, Tehran, Mazandaran, Golestan, East Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Isfahan, Alborz, Khorasan Razavi, Kerman, North Khorasan, Semnan, Yazd, Markazi, and Gilan provinces are in a critical situation (Red status).

Fars, West Azerbaijan, Bushehr, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Ilam, Zanjan, Hamedan, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Lorestan and Qom provinces are on alert, she concluded.
