Tehran (IP) - The spokeswoman for the Iranian Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari said that fortunately, 272,535 patients have recovered and discharged so far.

Iran PressIran News: Sima Sadat Lari also said, so far, 2,751 people in the country have definitely been infected with the coronavirus during the 24 hours. 

The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health said on Tuesday about the latest data on the coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by the virus: "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to August 4 in the country, 2,751 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed. Also, the number of patients with this disease reached 314,786, 1,560 of the new patients were hospitalized."

The Spokeswoman said: "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 212 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 17,617 people have lost their lives in the country to date."

The official stated, 4132 patients are in intensive care units. Around 2,560,374 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country.

According to the spokeswoman, Tehran, Mazandaran, Golestan, Fars, East Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Isfahan, Alborz, Khorasan Razavi, Kerman, North Khorasan, Semnan, and Yazd and Gilan provinces are in the Red zone.

Also, she added West Azerbaijan, Bushehr, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Ilam, Zanjan, Hamedan, Kohgiluyeh, and Boyer Ahmad, Yazd, Lorestan and Qom provinces is on alert.  104/207
