The Ministry of Defense of Armenia announced that another Armenian soldier was killed in border clashes with the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Iran PressAsia: According to AFP from Yerevan, the Armenian Ministry of Defense announced on Monday that "Ashut Mikaelian" was killed by a sniper bullet fired by the forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Monday 27 July.

According to the report, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan also accused the Armenian army of firing on its positions with heavy machine guns in the past 24 hours.

Clashes between Armenian and Azerbaijani troops in the Tovuz border region of Nagorno-Karabakh, which began on July 12, have continued, leaving dozens dead and wounded on both sides.

The conflict between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia over the Nagorno-Karabakh region began in 1988 and turned into a military conflict in 1991, as a result of which the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven neighboring cities came under the control of Armenian forces.
