Middle East (IP)- Fatah Alliance called on the Iraqi government to accelerate the filing of a formal complaint about the assassination of the Second-in-Command of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) Abu Mahdi al- Muhandis to the UN.

Iran PressMiddle East: Speaking in the Iraqi Parliament on Saturday, Fatah Alliance also asked the Parliament to establish a committee composed of Foreign Relations as well as Justice Commissions to follow up the government's measures regarding the complaint at the UN.

The Alliance also evaluated the condemnation of the US use of reconnaissance aircraft to assassinate the top Iranian Commander Qassem Soleimani at a UN Human Rights Council meeting as positive and expressed hope that the UN would take a bolder stance against US arrogance in violating the sovereignty of other countries and conducting hostile operations.

Commander of the IRGC's Quds Force, Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani, who arrived in Iraq on January 3, 2020, at the official invitation of Iraqi officials, along with Second-in-Command of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) Abu Mahdi al- Muhandis and eight other companions were assassinated in US airstrike near Baghdad airport in Iraq. 212/ 104
