Tehran(IP): Referring to the holding of an emergency meeting of heads of Islamic and Arab countries in Riyadh, Iran's foreign minister stated that this meeting once again highlighted the importance of the issue of Palestine and Al-Quds as an important factor for convergence in the Islamic world.

An emergency meeting of heads of Islamic and Arab countries was held in Riyadh on Saturday to review the current situation in Gaza and Palestine.

According to Iran press, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian wrote on the Instagram social network that the Islamic Republic of Iran considers the main and permanent solution for Palestine in accordance with international law to be holding a referendum to determine its destiny with the participation of all genuine Palestinians inside and outside this land which has always been emphasized at the highest political levels.

Amir- Abdollahian added that in this meeting, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran made ten important, operational and urgent proposals to make decisive decisions for the benefit of the Palestinian nation, including stopping the killing and genocide in Gaza, completely removing the human blockade, and cutting off any political and economic relations with the Zionist regime.

He further emphasized the establishment of an international court by the Islamic countries to prosecute and punish the leaders and criminals of the Zionist regime and the United States, the establishment of a special fund for the immediate reconstruction of Gaza, and the large-scale dispatch of convoys carrying humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people from Islamic countries.

It should be noted that the number of Palestinian martyrs as a result of the Israeli army's attacks on the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7th and continues until now, has reached 11,208, of which 4,506 are children, 3,27 678 people are women and elderly people.
