Tehran (IP): International Police Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Ambassador of South Korea to Tehran emphasized the expansion of police cooperation between the two countries in the fight against international crime.

Iran Press/Iran News: Brigadier General Hadi Shirzad, International Police Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Saturday met with South Korean Ambassador to Tehran Yu Jang Hyun.

Referring to the achievements of the Iranian International Police in combating crime and prosecuting criminals in the international arena, Shirzad emphasized bilateral cooperation, the expansion of the police relations, the exchange of experiences, and the strengthening of friendly relations in order to accelerate the extradition of criminals.

Brigadier General Shirzad stated, "The international police of the Iranian law enforcement forces are ready to cooperate with Seoul police in order to fight against international crimes."

Referring to Seoul's readiness to expand cooperation between the two countries in various policing fields, the South Korean ambassador to Tehran noted, "It is necessary to develop joint policing interactions between the Islamic Republic of Iran and South Korea in order to improve security."
