Parliament Speaker talks with al-Nakhalah on the phone

Tehran (IP) - The Speaker of Iran's parliament emphasized the resistance of the Palestinians against the Zionist regime in a telephone conversation with Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, on Wednesday evening.

Iran Press/Iran NewsMohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the Speaker of Iran's parliament, said in a telephone conversation with Ziad al-Nakhalah, Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, on Wednesday evening: "The Islamic Republic of Iran opposes the conspiracies of the United States and the Zionist regime alongside the Palestinian people."

Qalibaf said: "The Islamic Republic of Iran supports the resistance of the Palestinians against the conspiracy of the Zionist enemy."

The Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement also praised the Islamic Republic of Iran's steadfast stance on the Palestinian issue, saying: "The stability and resistance of the Palestinians is one of the most important factors in the defeat of the Zionist regime and the axis of resistance against the Zionist enemy is united."

Palestinians protested yesterday against the plan to annex the West Bank to the occupied territories and condemn the so-called "Deal of the Century".

The Zionist regime had planned to implement the plan to occupy about 30 percent of the West Bank since yesterday, but Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, called the regime's plan to annex the West Bank as a complex phenomenon, saying the plan could be postponed.

"The issue of the annexation of the Zionist settlements in the West Bank to Israel is a complex process, and due to many political and security issues involved, he cannot go into details.". Netanyahu concluded.
