Tehran (IP) - Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for International and Legal Affairs said that the reading of the black boxes of the Ukrainian plane will begin on July 20, under the guidance and supervision of the Iranian team in France.

Iran Press/Iran News: Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for International and Legal Affairs, Mohsen Baharvand said on Sunday that Iran's Civil Aviation Organization has made the necessary correspondence with the French Bureau of Enquiry and Analysis for Civil Aviation Safety (BEA) and the agreement has been almost finalized.

Baharvand said: If something unexpected doesn't happen, the black box will be transferred to France by my country's aviation team, and reading the black box information will take place on July 20, 2020.

The Deputy Minister of Legal and International Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the team of experts and specialists of the Islamic Republic of Iran will lead the research and the reading of information will be done under the guidance and supervision of the Iranian team, but of course, other countries that are somehow involved in this unfortunate event can send a representative to France as an observer.

The Boeing 737-800 plane belonging to Ukraine International Airlines crashed near Tehran minutes after the plane had taken-off from Imam Khomeini International Airport in the early hours of January 8.

All the 167 passengers and 9 crew members on board were killed in the tragic incident.

Iran acknowledged it unintentionally shot down the plane and it was occurred due to human error.
